How far along? 17 weeks

Maternity clothes? Definitely. I have the most amazing dad who took me out shopping for fat-girl clothes. Even as married adults, my daddy still spoils his girls! =)

Weight: 119.8

Waist: 30 in 

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: Slightly better this week. I don't feel like I'm dragging as much a before. 

Symptoms: M/S once this week, which was random. Otherwise just lots of movement!

Best moment this week: Gender ultrasound!! 

Miss Anything? Being able to jump up off the couch to chase babygirl. RLP=Ouch!

Movement: Yes! The kicks and jabs are getting stronger! I can't wait for hubby to feel them!

Food cravings: Still the classic chicken sandwich from McDonalds 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Iced coffee still 

Have you started to show yet: Yes definitely 

Gender: It's a secret.

How far along? 15 weeks

Maternity clothes? It's about 50/50. There's a whole lot in my closet that I can't fit into anymore.

Weight: 118.5

Waist: 29.75in 

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: I am still tired due to the crappy rest I get at night. I've been napping with babygirl on my days off. 

Symptoms: Fatigue, RLP, and abdominal pain due to a ripped muscle already. Thanks baby, I appreciate that.

Best moment this week: Getting my hubby back from training! 

Miss Anything? Dr.Pepper. I have cheated 2x the last few weeks and drank some... but I really want some more!

Movement: Yes, it's becoming more consistent.

Food cravings: Still the classic chicken sandwich from McDonalds and some chips/salsa 

Anything making you queasy or sick: My usual aversions. yuck 

Have you started to show yet: Yes

Gender: It's getting closer!

Happy Father's Day 2012

Mister,

There is no other man on this earth that I am more proud of than you.
You're amazing.
An amazing husband and dad.
We've come a LONG way this last year.
But there is no one else I would rather be with.
I love you a little more every single day.
I think back to 5 years ago when we got married.
I thought I couldn't love you any more than I did then.
It's funny, really.
The love I have for you now makes back then seem so small.

You're an amazing father.
Babygirl lights up whenever you enter a room.
You are her sunshine.
She loves you so much.
I promise she will be just fine during deployment.
I will talk about you with her every single day.

I am so proud to be called your wife.
Thank you for the changes.
They've made the struggles slightly easier.
I'm still working on the forget part of forgive and forget.
Thank you for being patient with me.
Thank you for not being upset when you feel I drag you through the mud..again.

There is no greater joy than watching our family grow.
I feel so blessed to be having another child with you.
Look at the one we have now.
Our love is about to burst and expand even more.
I am so grateful to God and the doctors for helping us carry babies to term.
I feel there is no greater gift that I could give you than children.

It's a go

The days are flying by.

This mama is starting to freak out.

I won't lie and say I haven't broken down numerous times already.

The official go was given.

Dates are locked in.

Which means panic has set in.

Baby Names

So I'm told that I'm being rude over not sharing our baby names.

I laugh.

For weeks and weeks no one but hubby and I even knew I was pregnant.

I think everyone can wait a few more weeks for us to announce our baby's name.

We have named our baby.

Whether it is a boy or a girl.

We love the names and think they are perfect.

Once we know the sex of the baby, the whole world can know it's name.

I think that's fair, right?

What will possibly make me roll my eyes again is when we don't share what we had picked out for the opposite sex's name. 

It's going in the baby fault. 

Cuz this isn't gonna be the last baby in this Carter house. ;)

Zoo Day

This past weekend babygirl and I went to the Zoo with my in-laws. 

After fighting with her to wake up early on a Saturday, we made it close to on time. 

All the kids started out happy and excited for the day.

The morning continued to get warmer.

But babygirl was thrilled to see the animals.

I helped point them out in their cages and she would get so excited once she spotted them.

A white stork.

I told babygirl this is where babies come from!

Of course she's too young to understand what I meant.

She just laughed and yelled "BIRD!"

Babygirl had such a good time with her cousins.

She's usually pretty picky about people that mess with her.

It takes a long time for her to warm up to people.

We could hang out with the same people day after day and it still takes a good hour or so for her to be okay enough for them to mess with her.

The hours kept passing quickly and I kept having to give her different snacks 

to hold her over.

We were starving!

 A too hot toddler and hot hungry pregnant lady is a dangerous combination!

There were 3 giraffes total.

Two of them were pretty keen on each other.

I'm pretty sure some frisky business was about to go down.

Not gonna lie.. 

That probably would've been a sight!

These 2 photos are amazing. 

Lily typically isn't very keen on men.

She's basically not a huge fan of loud guys.

This includes both of her grandpas.

This day, however, her Grandpa asked if she wanted to go on the boat ride.

I hesitated because I didn't want the ride to be miserable for everyone else 

since I didn't want to go. 

He seemed willing and so I handed her over and waved bye.

She went without a fuss.

I was so shocked.

She smiled and waved for pictures.

Which I couldn't get any good ones because there is no where good to stand.

He said she did great on the whole ride.

I know this one is a terribly bad shot,

but look at those smiles! 

I was a proud mama.

Week 14

How far along? 14 weeks

Maternity clothes? I've had to pull out the jean because none of mine fit over my thighs or button anymore!

Weight: 117.8

Waist: 29.5in 

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: I can't get enough this week. I have been exhausted every day 

Symptoms: I got sick once this week after drinking iced coffee when I knew it made me sick a few weeks ago.. dumb! Otherwise, just a TON of round ligament pain. Belly is growing tons this week! Nightmares.

Best moment this week: Scheduling the gender ultrasound!!! =) 

Miss Anything? My husband! I've had a lot of nightmares this week

Movement: Occasional pokes and prods.. I want more!

Food cravings: Classic chicken sandwich from McDonalds... Chips and salsa 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Iced latte from Dunkin Donuts

Have you started to show yet: Most definitely. Although my scrubs hide it pretty well still. No patients have noticed. 

Gender: Should know VERY soon!

Week 13

How far along? 13 weeks

Maternity clothes? I'm still holding out, although I have pulled them out of storage

Weight: 116

Waist: 28.75in 

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: I hit that afternoon fatigue and struggle for a bit 

Symptoms: No morning sickness in over a week! I'm having heartburn now though

Best moment this week: When I told babygirl that she was my favorite girl. She looked at me and said Thanks. 

Miss Anything? Dr.Pepper

Movement: Here and there. Nothing too constant yet.. I can't wait!

Food cravings: Chicken wings and spicy chicken sandwich 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Pulled pork served at a couple parties I went to. YUCK!

Have you started to show yet: Yes, definitely =) 

Gender: Should know really soon!
