On this day in the life of me.

7:17am - Wake up and literally jump out of bed. My phone never charged so the alarm didn't go off at 7. Luckily, my husband had to be up at 6:45 today and I heard him in the shower.
7:18-7:47am - Shower. Dress. Style hair. Makeup. Let dogs out to potty. Flip on babygirl's light to slowly wake her up, so she doesn't have a meltdown on me for getting her up so early. Prepare diaperbag and my lunchbag. Let dogs in. Shoes. Warm up car. Change diaper. Deal with crying child. Shove chubby child into coat. Hand crackers to chubby child to shush her (it's too early for this!) Look at time. Literally run out door.
7:48am - Buckle babygirl in the carseat and tear out of the neighborhood to make it over to my mom's to drop off baby. But not without a quick stop at the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru for some ahmayzing iced pumpkin coffee. This is worth being late for people!
8:03am - Unbuckle babygirl. Grab million things that go along with babygirl to MoMo's for the day. Pause to wave byebye to Papa who is leaving for work. Calm crying babygirl and sneak out the door.
8:07am - Jump back in car and tear out of this neighborhood. Text coworker to assure her that I indeed AM coming to work today.
8:14am - Clock in at work. Fabulous. Only 14 minutes late this day.
8:15-8:59am - Share stories from last night with coworker. (Her family is more dramatic than mine! This calls for some good times.) Attempt to get charts ready for the first few patients.
9:00am - First patient arrives. And from here the day becomes repetitive for the next few hours.
9:01am-12:29pm - Chart. Call patient to exam room. Obtain all vitals. Height, weight, BP, temp, respirations. Discuss concerns. Discuss babygirl with all the old people who ask me about her at every visit. Review medication list. Write out 4 million prescriptions. Pretend to laugh at numerous jokes. Chart. Chart. Phone call. Computer entry. Give shots. Fight with pharmacies. Phone. Phone. Fight with insurance companies.
12:30pm - Lunch! Score. Usually I go home to eat with hubby and babygirl but today nobody is there. So I eat my leftover pizza at my desk and pretend to be amused with Dr's chattiness. I mostly just read the latest People magazine and make sure I 'mmhmm' and 'yep' at all the appropriate places in the conversation.
1:30pm - Is lunch over already? First patient of afternoon arrives. Insert a repeat of this morning here.
4:58pm - Coworker laughs at me because there is STILL 4 patients to be seen as Dr. is behind by only 1 1/2 hours. (Tuesdays and Fridays are my days to stay late if he goes over.) She proceeds to clock out and practically run for the door.
5:19pm - Still sitting at my desk. Tapping fingers annoyed.
5:41pm - Finally clock out and now it is my turn to literally run out the door.
5:46pm - Arrive home. Be excited in a super high pitched voice to say hello to babygirl. Kiss hubby. Plop on the couch and play with babygirl.
5:51pm - Discuss work day with hubby and try to compete as to who had the worst day. Change out of scrubs. Into comfy clothes, as our floor is ALMOST completely installed. woo!
6:04-6:58pm - Make babygirl some corn and pizza for dinner. Wrestle child into highchair. Yell at dogs for attempting to eat food I am trying to cook. Hubby and I eat leftover pizza for dinner. The three of us plop in front of the TV while we eat. Catch up on Charlie's Angels (which has sadly been discontinued! I'm ticked!) Be lazy before we start the work.
6:59pm - Turn on some WonderPets to keep babygirl occupied while hubby and I begin working on the floor.
7:00-9:20pm - Work on laying the floor. Show off my awesome skills on the circular saw. Dance to some iHeartRadio. Tell babygirl to get back into the other room only about twenty times. Whine about still working. Be stoked about how awesome the floor is looking. Remind babygirl that a hammer is once again, not a toy. Kick babygirl out of the room...again. But be super excited because she keeps showing off these amazing walking skills that came out of no where.
9:21pm - Do a little jig because the floor is 97% finished. The only parts left to do is the hallway which is tricky because of the million weird cuts that need to be made due to the doorjams.
9:22-9:43pm - PJ time. Read with babygirl to wind her down for bed. Finish up milk and off to bed, sleepyhead!
9:44pm - Pose for pictures by sprawling out in the middle of the floor.
9:48pm - Crawl into bed.
11:14pm - The last time I remember seeing the clock.
Obviously this is not a normal evening for me. Usually I come home after work and have dinner, play with babygirl, spend time with hubby and the tv. Press repeat and you have my nights Mon-Thurs.
I will post a weekend day soon =)
