3 Months

Three Months Old

BabySister,

You are clearly no longer my tiny floppy baby. I miss those first days already! But that doesn't mean that I am not LOVING you discovering your personality. You are the sweetest little thing. Always wanting attention from someone so that you can reward them with the biggest smiles. You have found your hands and you are constantly sucking on those little fingers of yours. If you can get your sleeve or bib in your mouth, you suck on that too. You are starting to like toys and spend quite a bit of time staring at them. You still love to stare up at the spinning fans and lights.
You definitely don’t get as many baths as your sister did as a baby. It is getting harder to find time to squeeze in a bath during the day. Some days I can hardly find time to take a shower myself! You would much rather stand in the shower in my arms with me than lay in your baby tub.
Your big sister is becoming more interested in you. After watching mommy coo at you and do things to make you smile, she realizes that you don't just lay there doing nothing anymore. I look forward to the day when the two of you will play together.

Weight: 14.8 lbs  (98%)

Height: 23 1/2 in  (79%)

Clothing size: 3-6 mo

Diaper size: Two

Feeding: Every 2-3 hours during the day.
At night you only wake me once to nurse :)
You go 6 hours in the night!

Milestones: Smiling like a champ! You are such a happy girl! Always willing to crack a huge smile and coo for your mommy.

Loves: Attention! You love when anyone talks to you and focuses all their attention on you. You reward them with the sweetest, biggest, gummy grins! You have such a sweetness about you. You smile at us all the time, but it is not a silly smile…just pure sweetness. I think we might be getting a little glimpse into your growing personality. You still love to be held a lot of the time and prefer your cuddly snuggles.

Dislikes: Losing your pacifier on a car ride. So frustrating for your mama when this happens.

Adventures: Nothing too big happened this month. You had your first Valentine's Day. It wasn't a huge treat for you since you are too little to enjoy chocolates. :)

Mommy could not get through the month without: Pacifiers and burp cloths.

She's over it

Babygirl, you are killing me lately. Apparently you are so over this deployment. You've picked up on my reasoning for why he isn't here with us. So now you have asked me a few times lately if daddy was done working yet.

You even asked daddy on webcam if he was done working yet. These are the time that I hate. I try my very best to remain upbeat and positive about you girls for daddy. You just flat out ask him to come home. You asked him to come play outside with you. I can't help but feel like the worst person ever when you do that to daddy! I can see his heart crumbling to even smaller pieces.

Your bluntness you get from me, babygirl. I like to just blame it on the fact that you're two... You are headstrong and independent. Your daddy is in for a treat when he gets back! ;) That, and I am already dreading your teenage years!

Last week we had to go to the Air Force base to update some insurance stuff. I didn't think about how you would react about men in uniform until I was outside the gates. I panicked a bit. I thought my day would be all shot to hell. But you clearly know your daddy and what his uniform looks like! You didn't even bat an eye or glance twice at anyone. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty proud. We're an Army Strong family, Babygirl! Always stay proud and always stay supportive.
